I have been asked by a client to provide a dimmer to control incandescent
lamps,
the lamps are 24v ac but are fed via a transformer, the dimmer needs to be
on the
230v ac side, I am looking at some form method of chopping the mains ac
signal and
using a PWM control and filtering the output to provide a controlled ac
waveform,
my problem is how to switch the pwm output.
The load is 500W and the transformer is an unknown type any ideas?
