'[AD] OLD EPROMS AND SIMS'

I am getting ready to move to a smaller house. I am cleaning out boxes
of things.
here is a list some things I am getting rid of if there is no interest
they are going to the junk.
About 2 to 3 lbs of computer memory. Simms sipps and chips. 32 and 72
pin. These were pulled from working computers for Memory upgrades or
junking out the computers. I believe these are about useless but I
thought I would see if any one was interested.
some ceramic Eproms (12 ea 2732, 6 2716 and other misc)
A college level class room book on the 68HC11 by Greenfield. copyright
1992. Like new condition. Hard cover
There will be other stuff as the month goes on.

I wouldn't mind a couple of sims to try and hack/upgrade my laserjet memory.
Not sure what to do with a few pounds of em.

Good keyring add ons as a fob.
Even have a ready made hole :-)
Interestingly, surface mounted ICs fall off after a while leaving a
bare PCB.

Check on eBay, some of the old SIMMs are worth a little bit. I know
the LaserJet II / LaserWriters used 32-pin memories.

Let me know if you figure out which ones work. I tried it with some old
RAM I have but the printer wouldn't recognize it.

The old LJ II & III have a daughter board that plugged in the side, that
you filled with individual chips. Later models used modules.

I have a LJ4 as well. The ram you can use is pretty specific. And you
have to solder a jumper. There used to be a German web page that had
the specifics but I can't find it now (what else).

Now that you mention it, I remember those memory plug in boards in my LJII.
It must be the Apple version that I'm remembering.
Also, some soundblaster cards used SIMMs for sample memory.

I seem to recall trying to bump up the memory in my LJ 5si and it not
recognizing it. It uses 72pin SIMMs though I think.

I'd like to have the book. Email me if it is still available and with
all the particulars. We'll go from there.
Thanks and Regards,
Jim

I may be interested in the EPROMs, but I need to check
if these are the ones in the devices I'm thinking of -
I'll get back to you.
