'[EE]: Multiple lcd displays on 1 parallel pors'

Hi, I have a project which calls for a 4x20 lcd display on the parallel port. I only have 2 2x20 displayes. OI was wondering. Theparallel schematic has 3 enable output lines E, E1 and E2. For one 20x2 lcd one should just use the e line, but bgger lcds have more enable lines. I was wondering whether I could have 2 lcds hooked up to exactly the same pins except to different enable lines. If so, which should I use out of the 3.
THanks.

Go to google and search 'lcdproc'. It's done and they have a linux
driver.

Yes you can have the data buses common but with seperate enable lines. I've
done it with three 2*16 LCD panels and it works just fine. Not sure about
the parallel lines as I used a PIC :)
