'[EE] Eagle newbie question'

I've got a question about the following picture:

http://www.ls1m.com/demo/eagle_r1.JPG

This is a resistor on my first attempt at a circuit board, using Eagle.  I
think I've figured out that the green is the solder pad (on the bottom side,
I assume), the cross-hatched octagon is the solder flow area, and the yellow
circle is the drill size.  If that's true, then how can the drill size be
bigger than the solder pad?  How do I fix it so the hole is smaller or the
pad is bigger, without building my own library symbol?

Thanks
-Mark

It's not the drill size - it's a drill bit positioning guide. Turn off all the layers (Tools->Layers or View->Layers iirc) except Top, Bottom, tPlace, bPlace and Dimension. The green donut is the pad, the drill hole is the hole in the middle of the donut.

Later,
Phil.

Ah.  That makes more sense.  It confused me because
the yellow circle shows up on either layer holes or
drills - don't have it in front of me right now.  Btw,
as an Autocad user, I find Eagle very easy to use.
Love the way you can type the commands in.

One more question.  I need to send this in to be
prototyped.  I was looking at pcbexpress.com; they'll
do a simple 2-layer board for $80.  Anyone have
experience with them, or a better company to go with?

Thanks.

OK I lied.  I have another question.  When I layed out
the board, I used the autorouter to place the traces,
then moved some around the way I liked.  All the
settings for the autorouter were set to the defaults.
Are there any particular settings that I should change
or tweak?  This is a very simple, 2-layer through-hole
design.

Thanks again

Change your minimum trace width to something generally friendlier
(wider.)
