Post by thread:[EE] Electronic "packaging material" recycling

I think this is more [EE] than [OT].. I seem to be creating quite a bit of waste in my smallish electronics assembly line... Things like component tubes, lead trims (including tape in many cases), and other similar items. Being in the middle of nowhere recycling-wise makes it hard for me to locally recycle anything but #1 and #2 plastics (component tubes seem to be PVC aka #3 plastic), cardboard, and aluminum. I'm still checking, but no real luck. Before I just give up and continue tossing this stuff, I wanted to make sure that there wasn't some program or option I wasn't aware of out there for this type of waste. Ideas? -forrest
