'[EE] High Performance MCUs with Integrated Flash a'

One of my colleague is doing some research on MCUs with
512K (or more) Integrated Flash and 10/100Mb Ethernet and CAN.
He also needs good performance (say >=100MIPS for ARM)
and the cost should be as low as possible.

So far he found Atmel ARM9 AT91SAM926x and FreeScale
MCF5223x. Atmel offers very good price for AT91SAM9260.

Then I also found STR912FW44X and NXP LPC2378 from Olimex
website. LPC2378 is ARM7 based.
www.standardics.nxp.com/products/lpc2000/lpc23xx/
http://www.st.com/mcu/devicedocs-STR912FW44.html

Any other recommendations?

Oops, CAN is a plus, not a must.

Sorry, once again a blank email sent :-(

Anyway, you could also look at some of the Renesas offerings.  I think
some of the M16C & higher ranges may meet most requirements..
Availability of the new items would also need to be looked at.

Well, I suppose you could now add the PIC32, although it requires a separate
external chip for Ethernet, despite claims of compatibility with 16 bit
family, there does not seem to be an on-board CAN port. Guess this will come
in later releases.

No the performance is not there yet and the Flash is still
of dismay endurance like PIC24/dsPIC33.

The current Cortex M3 based MCUs are not up to the requirement
right now either. ST clearly mentioned to us that STM32 will not target
ARM9 MCUs which can run embedded Linux or Windows CE.
