There are two standards of wiring the 2x5 pin motherboard RS232
connector to the DB9 connector mounted on the PC rear pannel.
I want to use such cable connection for a product requiring a
debbuging over the RS232. Any link to the specification of those
cables ? Right now I have no one around to measure it and get the
  schematic.
  thx,
  Vasile

The pinout shown in chart #15 is by far the most common. It is what
you get when a 10 pin IDC header and DE9 IDC connector are used.

Look at motherboard manuals on the makers' websites - these will have the pinout info in.

AFAIK, of the ones I've seen, the mapping is the same, i.e. pin 1 on the
2x5 connector corresponds to pin 1 on the DB9. pin 10 on the 2x5 is
usually a key (a missing pin). TTYL
