'[OT]: Baker clamp'

Hi There!
I know this is way off topic but all the help will be appreciated.
Can someone please tell me where i can find info on a baker clamp.
I do know that it is used in audio amps to prevent latching, thats it.
A circuit design with explanation will help.
Thanks
Zack

Hi Zack,
A Baker clamp prevents the transistor from saturating, since transistors
are slow coming out of saturation.
The simplest implementation uses a Schottky diode from base to collector
so if the collector gets negative enough it pulls the base drive away. The
Schottky has a low forward voltage so it works with no other parts needed.
Other implementations use more parts.
I've never used them in audio, but lots in video for sync separation.
Cheers,
Bob
