Whats the easiset way to copy in an existing footprint
from another library to my new library? I have
created a schematic symbol, and dont care to redo the
14SOP since they exist in other libraries.

I just open the existing library/package, select it all and "cut" it (scissors
tool), then open the new library/package and "paste" it there. There are
other ways, but I find this most intuitive.
