'[OT]: pdf problem'

Can anybody offer help with this problem please. I'm having trouble
printing .pdf files and right now I've got a pile of tech documents
I need to. Printing's never been a problem in the past.
Trying to print more than 1 page gives the error
"Data required by the printer driver cannot be found or is corrupted.
Restart Windows and try printing again"
Explored -
A selection of .pdf files that previously printed OK
Re-install printer drivers
Re-install Acrobat Reader 3.0
Upgrade to Acrobat Reader 4.05
Make sure \Windows\Temp folder exists
Changing various options within Settings\Printers
Check that other programs print OK
All of the above again
This a recent Win98 installation. Is there something in Win98 that
I should know about ? I don't recall any special procedure for Win95.
My feeling is that it's nothing to do with Acrobat or the printer but
some sort of a spooling problem. I have 64MB memory and 9GB
drive space free on a 233 PC
Any and all help appreciated

I've had a similar problem in the past, and while I can't offer a solution
to you at the moment, I do have a temporary workaround.
Try installing GSView (you'll need Ghostscript too) - and print PDFs from
there. You can get GSView and Ghostscript from:
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/get29.html

not related to your specific problem.. but...
I find that with my 6L I need to tell it to print the graphics in raster
mode or the graphs come out black. of course this creates a HUGE spool
file but its worth it to see the charts and graphs

Probably you have too many resources for this task ! [joke]
Drop to the garbage win98, with a win95 smallest OSR, everythink
will go better !
But first, after a reset try page by page printing...

While on this topic, can anyone tell me of a program that can be used to
convert files to pdf format?
I have a number of documents of an introductory nature to PIC programming and
I'd like to create a Web site and include my work.

I was impressed with the wide variety of converters at
http://www.pdfzone.com/index.asp . I'm still looking, though, for a
Windoze, DOS, or Unix (Sun) pdf to html converter I can run in a batch
using command line parameters (similar to wo2html from
http://www.res.bbsrc.ac.uk/wp2html/).
