Andy:

Port 5000 is often used by Free Internet Chess Servers, so it's not
surprising that when your port-scanner found an open port 5000 on
your machine, it identified it as "FICS".

You're probably not running a chess server, though... So the port's
been opened by some other application.

that would be correct :)

i dont run servers on ME.  i use linux to do that :)

oh and btw port 5000 is also a backdoor port i *think*

ill have to try a backdoor scanner

btw its running even if i kill everything but systray, explorer
