That would be strange, why would I only get it when I get a message from
you?

But I think I see the problem: your message is dated 16/1/2009, and my
email client (thunderbird) is not so good with messages that have a
strange date. Anyone know how I can order my email boxes on
date-received instead of date-sent?

With thunderbird you can click the button on the very right-hand side of
the 'header' window (to the right of 'Subject', 'Sender', 'Date',  if
your install is in English etc.) and add new columns to the window.
Choose the 'Order Received' column and it will add that column which you
can sort by.

It works for me, but I use an IMAP mail server which may or may not be
the same as you.

Wouter,

What's strange about the date?? - Surely  thunderbird can handle dates
in non-USA format.

Umm, perhaps the fact that the date is in the future? :)

I think those messages showed up in the correct thread in my client
(Evolution).
