In fact I'm sitting about 2 meters away from a box containing 6 various wall warts, some of which I scrounged from a neighboring cubicle when someone was cleaning it out and made a "discard" pile. My personal moral standards require that I wait until it hits a trash or recycle bin. On the other hand, the "electronics scrap" bins serve as a nice concentrating influence - not so much need to hunt all over. This week I found a brand new 256MB USB flash drive. Someone had gotten a new laptop (they come with flash drives here, instead of floppies), and I guess they didn't want the drive. It was sitting there, in it's opened box, on the pile of 'cardboard recycling.' Had to fish it out; couldn't have that possible lead source contaminating useful cardboard :-; BillW
