I was doing research on DIY stuff when I came across this:
http://www.bukisa.com/articles/59945_diy-through-plating-for-double-sided-pcbs
"Cool!", I thought. "Might have some info I need."
So I started reading it. "Wow, this dude writes like me!", I thought.
Then it started getting really weird. His posts were much TOO
familiar. After clicking to his "profile", I see that a LOT of his
bloody posts filed under "mine" were from MY blog! They were MY posts!
I don't really care - except for the fact that this guy is making
money off of it.
Check this dude out - http://www.bukisa.com/people/jesusspork
And the damn website says "Share your knowledge, earn money". That
boils my blood. Is everything these days have to do with this filth we
call money? What ever happned to good ol' learning, having fun,
sharing knowledge and experiencing?
Some of my blog posts (with the help of you guys) have earned many
thousands of views (such as the reflow soldering one as well as
others). And the funny thing is - the "source" link on this jerk's
page points to ITSELF.
This is definitely something, my friends.

This is quite bad. Probably you can try to use the "Report
Content" to see if that helps.

Welcome to the world.
So people rip you off, so what. They copy your posts, crack your software,
advertise serials and torrent your music up on 'The Pirate Bay'. No real
harm done, and you've noted previously you have no problems with most of
this. Think of it as free advertising.
It's probably not the first one, and won't be the last. You should see how
many copies of Wikipedia there are.
This may sound harsh, but many of your posts are ideas, and ideas are worth
practically zero. Truly. But, it's a blog, so carry on. You're doing it
for your benefit, not mine.
For your PCB post, unless you actually tried any of the methods it's just a
list of stuff you found elsewhere. You missed the best one - take a long
piece of solid strand wire, and thread it thru all of the vias, like sewing.
Solder one side then the other, and finish up by clipping off the excess.
Easy, fast, cheap, works.
You state that you're happy to give information away, but you failed to
mention that there is a price - credit. You're unhappy because you didn't
get paid.

Wait, wait, so you would gladly share everything, knowledge, pictures, etc, for
free, excepting money ? And keep the money because it is filthy ? While I admit
that banknotes are not the cleanest common use objects (apparently computer
keyboards and door handles lead here), your attitude is a little ... er ...
political, no ? I mean, if you can pay bills in nature, to forego using 'filthy'
money, I would like to know. Is it possible ? And, umm, what do they accept for
barter ?

One more small detail sw:
All piclist postings are archived on websites, half of which serve ads on those
pages, not sharing the revenue with you, and the best way to find them is
Google, which is a commercial search engine that also serves ads on each search
page, *and* is one of the archive sites (on google groups).
hope this helps,
Peter

Yeah. I told the website guys what this idiot was doing. They first
removed the page. I replied and said that all of his posts were
stolen. They removed his user. Lol.
Would be cool to see the look on his face!

Is this the same Solarwind that was posting links to pirated and/or cracked
software on this list ? I guess it's a taste of your own medicine then...

Definitely a case of "...and how's the view from the other side?"
Anyway, what theft? Nothing has been stolen, I'm sure if Solarwind checks his
blog he'll find it's still all there.
This is just an IP / copyright mix-up, and as 'Imaginary Property' doesn't exist
and all information wants to be free, where's the problem?

There we go, Tony. Idea added, credit given - complete with anti-spam email.

"learning, having fun, sharing knowledge" is not enough in real world,
you need to be able to apply it (sorry for using "apply" word again).
The "filth" you mentioned, measures your ability doing it, nothing more.
Nothing wrong with not willing to apply the great ideas (like The
Calculator), though; next generations will do, provided your ideas are
really great.

In my head, yes. Works fine.

Point is, I always always give credit.

I guess for such kind of people these things are 'normal'. They just create
another user name, copy/paste some other blogs and problem solved. Maybe
he/she has hundreds of user names created already. You never can be a winner
in such situations.

I am at a complete loss of words... can someone help me express what I'm
feeling?

He is having a few perception issues...
If he did try it, he could also describe how it's a pain in the arse at
times to thread a long piece of wire thru a PCB multiple times without it
getting twisted & tangled.
And if you pull the wire too tight you get a big blob of solder where the
wire is too close to the PCB, making it harder to cut off and doesn't look
as nice as it should.
"Free ideas - worth every cent!"

(That reminds me that I haven't looked at http://www.halfbakery.com for a while.)

Thought experiments have an important role in engineering. Eventually
the rubber will hit the road, and lessons will be learned. I don't
think he's done anything wrong - he hasn't stated that his ideas are
anything more than idea on his website, and he freely admitted to you,
when asked, that he has not done anything more than thought
experiments. Yes, it's more stuff on the internet from an amateur,
but that's the eternal September effect for you.
You are likely frustrated because either:
1. He knew exactly what you meant and intentionally chose to beat
around the bushes (ie, say "yes" but explanation is actually "no")
2. He has no idea what you're talking about, and it's frustrating to
communicate with someone that doesn't understand what you're saying.
Either way, it's frustratingly annoying.
What baffles me is why people keep playing this game with solarwind
when they are so obviously frustrated by it. Don't rise to the bait -
he's not interested in learning on anyone else's terms. Quite
frankly, a brisque attitude might be more useful here. Ignore the
stupid parts, address only the meat of the ignorant parts, and roll
your eyes with no further comment at the teenage-like
trolling/attitude.
No sense jangling your nerves on his account.
