I understand sometimes there are legal difficulties in administering special offers and competitions across various juristrictions, but I do find it annoying these days when magazines that are published internationally (especially online) promote competitions/special offers/promotional draws tie it to a single country. Even more amazing when the ownership of the promoting conglomerate are registered in another part of the world again. If promoters need to do this sort of thing I think at least be upfront about it and have it somewhere on the promo page rather than in the small print. That was cruel, in mid rant you made me stop my crusade, turn the sides of my mouth upwards and emit a strange sound - startling the cat who is now looking daggers and with suspicion at me as though I might be dangerous. Now back to magazines advertising a special and by the time you've read the small print you find only one country exists in the world. Feeling grumpy again already, that's much better.
