For a long-established company like Microchip you'd expect
better. "Removed Data Sheet Clarification issues." is not good,
and raises more questions. Firstly, I simply don't understand
what is meant by "issues". Secondly, does the removal of the
clarifications mean that the chip is now in step with the manual ?
If not, why were they removed ?
The manufacturer has to be THE definitive authority and the
last thing you need as a designer is confusion or uncertainty
in the documentation
But I've had this discussion with Microchip Technical Help, and
frankly the product knowledge and ability to answer the question
asked of some FRONT LINE personnel is pathetic

I think this means that a new datasheet has been issued with the appropriate
updates from the errata doc. Therefore the info can be removed from the
errata since it is now in the datasheet.

I thought that a possibility but AFAIK the only data sheet for
the F88 is and was DS30487C. The reason for the amendments
to the errata wouldn't have been so hard to include, especially
as there is now a whole blank page ! ;-)

According to Microchip, that is the reason

Dear Sir,
Any data sheet issues that were noted in previous erratas have been
incorporated into the latest version of the data sheet, which is why the
current errata states that all issues have been removed.

There's still a loose end though. No mention at all of the other
queries I had re: Michael Brown's high SLEEP and the errata/
data sheet, so I don't know whether (a) Beverly Bowers doesn't
know and chose to say nothing (b) BB does and will answer later
(c) they've been passed on to someone else
So now I'll have to send a mail to find out, dammit
This is why I really really don't like asking anything of Microchip

I think this is a case of that rare entity, the Irregular Noun:
I have issues
you have non-compliances
he has mistakes
