'[PIC]: Co-operative multitasking with Microchip TC'

face picon face
Customising the stack to meet my requirements I find that I am required to
relinquish the processor if my task takes a very long time so other tasks
can be serviced.

Anyone got any rough figures for what is considered a long time.

Cheers Justin

It all depends on your application needs. For me, very long time is over
a couple of ms, because a lot of real-time things are happening.
If your application just do user interaction, perhaps an acceptable time
could be 100ms.

NOTE: I'm using preemptive RTOS, with 1ms ticks.
