Hi,
while casually browsing today i discovered some odd stuff,
( I'm really *waiting* for an new MPLAB 32 bit )
on the mplab download page the release date for the full d/l is
odd: 2002-03-19 (!) but is still states version 5.50
a bit further below there is an 'point update' 5.50.15 (?)
dated: 2002-03-13
Might contain some fixes to us poor bastards that have to live with
the dinosaur MPLAB 16bit ( please someone send an astriod to finish it off
:) )
/Tony

Ohh must try that. I have been having some strange problems with GPF's on my
W2K machine. Won't go away unless I clean out the install directory and
re-install.

There are no fixes, just support for the new flash PIC18s. I've found one way
to bring down the "uncrashable" Windows 2000 is to run MPLAB and bring up the
ICE200 wrong. By the way, there appear to be more wrong ways to bring up the
ICE than right ways.

Win2000 loses all its crash resistance if their are any buggy kernel mode
drivers. Perhaps the ICE2000 driver is at fault.

Please don't. It runs fine under wine on Linux (so do most compilers for
micros I have) so I don't have to cope with OS crashes (have laptop woes
now).
