Is the ",A" portion of these instructions part of the 18 series
instruction set? I've never seen anything like that in the 16 series
parts but then again, I've missed a lot stuff hidden in Microchip
docs. :=)

Thanks for the tip on the 18 series. I'll bear it in mind if I get

Oh, OK, thanks Tony. I thought my Picstart was broken. I have not used
it in a long while and was getting the same problems with read etc. on a
12C671 and firmware 2.01 and MPlab 5.30. It did program the chip though.
Guess I have to upgrade. :)
