A Google search (http://www.google.com) yielded as the *third* result, when I typed "MM53200", a paper entitled "Use A PIC12C508 To Emulate An MM53200 Coder/Decoder" by Patrick Gueulle http://www.elecdesign.com/Globals/PlanetEE/Content/5874.PDF It includes code as well. Maybe this will help.
