I am experiencing problems with a 16F874. I wrote a simple test program which makes a LED on RA0 blink. My problem is that sometimes it works (it blinks) and sometimes, nothing happens at all. I am using a RC oscillator and the program on the chip is correct. I also use the startup timer. I think, the problem might be that the RC does not begin to oscillate. any suggestions?
