Rapid Electronics, reasonable range (no F628, but they do have F627, they
are usually the cheapest for PICs, at least for small quantities.  Actually,
they are usually the cheapest for most things they sell, IME.

No minimum order value (Farnell is UKP10 minimum order unless you have an
account but Farnell delivery is free, you pay postage at Rapid unless the

Also have a look for Maplin Electronics, RS Components and CPC
http://maplin.co.uk, rshttp://www.com, http://cpc.co.uk , IIRC!)- all sell
to non-account holders, some are easier to get catalogues from than
others... there are other suppliers too- pick up an electronics magazine
from your local newsagent to get some more options!

Totally agree - they are the best kept secret in the UK - can't
understand why they don't publicise themselves better....

FYI Farnell have just instroduced a delivery charge for orders under
30 quid.
