'[PIC] Fuses list on the web.'

Hi All,

Is there a list that sums up all the __FUSES that are used with the
Microchip pic's.
I need to port code from a 16F628A to a 16F685. The later uses other
fuses-names than the 16F628A.

There are not that many fuses in these devices, it cannot be that hard to
compare the two datasheets.

The datasheet, of course.

Those PICs only have a single 14 bit configuration word.  Surely a few
minutes comparing the two datasheets would yield the answer quicker than
getting a response here.

Correct but i still have one problem.
In the 16F628 the BOR is set with _BODEN_ON .
But in the 16F685 there are two bits used called BOREN0 and BOREN1 .
But when i use it like this: _BODEN0_ON & _BODEN1_ON then it shows
this error "Symbol not previously defined (_BODEN0_ON) ".
How should i write these two correct to replace the old BOR.

There should be a header file that matches to your chip and which you
"include" at the beginning in your source.

All of these symbols are defined there, so just open it up and try to find
the names (all fuses should be listed in the same place). Try to match the
names with the datasheet so you will have the correct name vs. meaning and
explanation what that fuse do.

And pay attention to exact spelling which includes: upper/lower case,
underscore/dash, forward and backward slashes, spaces, etc.

Have a look in the processor include file ???

I suspect that this processor has variable voltage settings for the
brownout, and so there will be four symbols, one for off, and three for
voltages.

I think that P16F685.INC is pretty clear on this point.

Use _BOR_ON, _BOR_NSLEEP, _BOR_SBODEN or _BOR_OFF.

It was not *that* hard to find, was it ? :-)

It's useful to peek in the include file for the exact symbol names they
chose.

The easiest way to do this is to open up the include files that
Microchip supplies for each of those processors.  You will find the
include files in your MPLAB installation.  For example, on my system,
the include files are located in "C:\MP830\MPASM Suite".  Simply open
both files in your favorite editor and scroll to the bottom of each
file.  You will find the configuration bits listed.  It should be
fairly easy to match up the bit names and create an appropriate
config string for your new PIC.

Hope this helps!

Copy and paste works for me :)
