Does anyone have a good reference for something similar to the Scott Edwards
(http://www.seetron.com) Serial Backpack?
(This is a LCD parallel to serial adapter using a PIC for people using
Stamps or just want serial.)
I need to expand its ability to a 4 line display of another brand.  Would
prefer to take advantage of anything existing or even willing to buy a
off-the-shelf, if anyone has it.

Please respond to spam_OUTgilesTakeThisOuTspamonecorpsource.com
as I don't always get a chance to check this list.

Best regards,
Giles Honeycutt

Have you tried ELabs.  They have a chip that is serial input and outputs to
a 4x20 using an Hitachi chip.
