'Any MAC users here?'

I'll try once more

My favourite techo forum must surely have a few MAC users.
Narry a PIC in sight on this one but you guys know everything so I'll
venture to ask.

This is a SPECIFIC request for MAC / HTML information - I'm
adequately HTML aware in a PC environment and of how HTML generally
SHOULD apply to MACs -what  I need to know is the SPECIFIC state of
play in the MAC world.

How do you read HTML format files on a MAC?
Presumably some/all browsers can do this?
Are browsers generally freeware for MACs?

Some members of another technical group I belong to claim that they
can read HTML web pages on their browser but not HTML attached to
emails.
Does this sound sensible? If so, is there any solution?
(I personally have doubts that they know the full capabilities of the
browser but don't know enough myself.)

Replies are probably best offlist unless you can work a PIC into the
answer.
If I get lots of replies I'll venture a summary to the list for
general info.

TIA

This is an interesting topic to PIC at <g>
Maybe if a PIC parses HTML?
Anyways, read on...

Well, according the Wagner's MCU survey, .7% of us use a Mac. Where they
are..I don't know.

With a Browser, Anniepoo pointed this out nicely.

This IS the heart of a browser. Without HTML, a browser is uselss, UNLESS,
you use it to view GIFs or JPEGs and the like.

http://www.netscape.com

Yes, see if an upgrade is available to parse the HTML.

I use a Mac. My email reader is Eudora, which does not support
HTML. So it shows up in messages as ordinary text with tags.
A giant pain in the butt, but I just skip over it.

Initially I tried to use my Mac for PIC programming. Eventually
decided it just wasn't practical. Finally went over to the
dark side for PIC-related activities :-)  A couple of PICsters
have since come up with Mac-based development platforms, but
I haven't had enough experience with them to give a personal
 opinion.

Gee, you should get a PC.  My PC supports HTML mail with Eudora (both Light
and Pro).

Or maybe upgrade to a newer version of Eudora/Mac.
