Matthew, I've built a barometer based on Sensym's SCX15ANC 0-15psi
sensor. It has temperature compensation and is under $30 in small
quantities. I supply the sensor with a precision 10V reference and
feed the output to an AD620 instrumentation amp. That output goes
to a 12 bit A/D with a 0 - 4.096V range. It's been very accurate
over the last year.
Sensym has new low-cost sensors as well as Motorola. Sensym's
number is (408) 954-1100.
