Probably NOT!!!! a good idea to open this .vbs file.

And, of course, it only affects those who use Outlook for email, or
(possibly) those who use the windows address book to store email
addresses.
Us netscapees escape such scrapes... ;-)

This is a Virus............seems like an old one..........my virus scan
picked it up..............just delete the email message without opening the
attachment.
As for what it does when you run it........I am one of the fortunate ones
that does not know.

Shouldn't the stupid idiot who sent this script be banned from the list? Or
was it sent blindly?

It was probably sent unintentionally (since the virus sends itself to
everyone in the address book). Most of the listservers I'm on bounce any
messages with attachments or html.

Hi,
McAfee stops it, anyway. Contains the vbs/freelink virus.
Nice.

Could we track the sender and see how many DIP 12C508's we can attach onto
his/her entire body? My guess is about 3,000. 3,001 if a certain body
cavity is plugged.

Hi,
I just wanted to say, I am VERY VERY sorry for sending this to the list.
Like an idiot I ran this dumb program and was infected with the attached
virus/worm. Which automatically sent a copy of the message to the list. I
now have a virus protection program, so this will not be happening again.
Contact me if you have any problems with it.
I hope you all can forgive me,
Timothy Deterly

People make mistakes. You have learned. That is the most that one can ask of
another. Your error will act as a lesson for others. Keep makeing mistakes
(uh... not this one again please! <GRIN>) and learning.
Further posts on this thread need to be marked with an [OT].
If the archives are keeping attachments, can this one be deleted?
