'How to use the I2C bus with the PIC16C73A'

I'm a beginner in the use of the PICs family, and I need to do a
project with a PIC16C73A, and also an EEPROM, 24LC01, that it is connected
through the I2C bus.
The PIC16C73A has already implemented this protocol, but I'm not
able to program the correct registers, or to write and read correctly.
So, if someone has done it? Please help!!!!!!!

You are right, in so far that the I2C-bus routines are hardware-implemented
for a I2C _slave_ device.  Not for a I2C _master_ !  If you want to address
a I2C-EEPROM (wich is a Slave-device) you will have to implement the
I2C-routines for a Master.

There are some examples of it on the MicroChip CD.

I've got a few good links to I2C resources from my
