ISD stands for Information Storage Devices. They are now introducing the 4000 series which are flash based and offer longer recording times. If you are looking for a low cost programmer for the ISD chips, check out Quadravox at http://www.quadravox.com. Two words of caution: (1) The 3000 and 4000 series are 3V devices (2) Note the shift order when pumping commands in/out I have setup, play, and record routines written in C that I can pass along to those interested.
