'PIC core for gate array'

I seem to recall someone announcing that they had developed a simplified
logic core for a gate array based on the PIC architecture. Was I just
dreaming or is this for real? Can someone supply this info or some
links?
Thanks

VHDL model is available. goto http://www.ormix.riga.lv and have happy webrowsing.
I dont recall the correct location.
I do have seen a photo of an proto of and working and implemented
in real hardware (3 small Xilinx LCA's) a model of PIC. This was done
by someone in Germany, two years ago. Unfortunatly I have no
further information on this project and the only person who might
have refuses to talk to me :(((( Chip! Are you there? Still mad?
What happened wasn't my fault, I was'nt involved. Really. I mean it.
