STOP MEILING CARBAGE !
This list was nice, when there was about 10 emeils / day. Most of it was
usefull and innovative. Nowadays I get some 100 emeils /day and most of it
just carbage.

Start a list for these OT-things
Start a list for beginners, LCD-panels  and silly questions
Start a list for electronics that do no contain PIC-prosessors.
Start a list for RAN, LAN, and WAN and such NETWORKS

I'll continue reading this list for about one week from now and if nothing
changes, I'll leave it. I have much better ways to spend my time than
deleting these emeils 'I'm an absolute beginning beginner and newer seen a
screwdriver before. Would you please help me to connect a LCD-panel to my
TCP/IP-network'. Go and make your homeworks !

Some questions are unrealistic (naive, over-eager beginners) but there's only
a few of these per day. I timed myself hitting the delete key and found that
it takes me 372 msec per delete.  So even if there were 20 "garbage emails"
per day it would only take about 7.44 seconds to delete them--small price to
pay if it saves somebody days or weeks of agravating searching and expensive
mistakes.

If you don't want to waste your time helping beginners, then don't.  But the
quicker those beginners learn, the quicker they'll be able to help you in the
future.  I too get overwhelmed by the amount of email I get every day, but I
think that the reason this list is so popular is that it is so broad in scope.
I don't want to see anything change.  If you want to see it change, use an OT
filter!

Pasi:

wouldn't it be easier to make a list for the advanced, top of the line
pic'ers like you?

Maybe moderated (by you) and only with certified members...
