I can't figure out if I don't know how to use MPASM correctly or there is a bug in the MPASM program. Here is what it is. For the 12C508 processor. Use any .asm code you want. The GP3 pin indicates 1. Change it to 0 with the windows>modify window. (I tried changing it with a stimulus file and got the same problem.) Try to step through the program. It will stay at PC = FF and just xor the working register. Which indicates to me it is not turning over like it should to zero. David

do you have this port configured as an input port?
