Hi John;
for some reason I do not understand, all your notes present an attachment
problem to my Eudora Pro reader, and I need to download it ither as text, or
ignore, always needing to do manual intervention on each note.
have you hear of same problem from anybody else???
thanks
I also have the same problem and i use Eudora Pro.

Yes, I get many advisories such as yours, and I might add that yours
is the most polite ever received, thank you. The problem, as I am
given to understand it, is that my MS Outlook 97 automatically
generates a "digital signature" which is useful in security verification
and tracing, and is normally transparent to MS users. Email me
private and I will give you more detailed explanation. Different mail
readers do different things with it. It is properly up to me to
suppress the "digital signature", and I am in favor of that, but it involves
purchasing additional Outlook software modules whose function
is to suppress the autogeneration. As I pointed out in a previous
msg, the concept of ADDING software to make one's computer ACT
DUMBER can only be the product of a brilliant mind, someone capable of
perhaps being worth $18 Billion from last report.

I have the same problem. Which means that I have to sit by my computer
while I download all 276 messages that I get every morning.
I'd rather be making coffee.
If anyone
knows how to configure Eudora to automatically "ignore" or "get rid of"
these types of messages please share the information. The filters
will not do if because the problem is in the download of these types
of attachments.

I do not know what options you have
but I think I speak for the majority on the list
in saying that continuing with the meaningless
attachments is NOT an option
I have the same problem - using Eudora Version 2.2 (32)
Also, when I send a message to PICLIST, I get an auto generated response
from EraseMEUnknownspam_OUTTakeThisOuTFH-Wolfenbuettel.DE (Fachhochschule Braunschweig/Wolfenbuettel
Hochschule fuer Technik, Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften -
Rechenzentrum -) telling me I must be sending my message to a list (no shit)
and some recipient of that list lives in FH-Wolfenbuettel.DE and doesn't
have a mailbox (like that's my problem). So whoever you are, get a %*&^$#%
mailbox.

I use Eudora light 3.0
No attachment problem; the garbage just comes in the end of text

I had that problem too.
I informed someone @FH-Wolfenbuettel.DE about it, and he will tell the
piclist owner to remove that adress. So this will stop now we hope.
If you run Windows 95 and it's an error message, or nag screen,
(must register that program) that comes up and a button must
be pushed to cary on then there is a program that can push that
button for you. I used it for pushing the connect button on Dial
Up Networking on Windows 95a. It's free and called RtvReco at:
