I think that the best would be for you to get one of the beginner books such as Dave Benson's "Easy Pic'n". Its available from Amazon.com and several programmer sites on the internet. You might take a look at example 1 in my JAL manual (http://www.xs4all.nl/~wf/wouter/pic/jal) Blinking a LED in a HLL is a lot simpler that using assembler. Or mayby try a basic stamp?
